Friday Musical Interlude: My Fair Lady

We went to see the Arena Stage’s production of My Fair Lady, a show which boasts some of the most perfect music/lyrics ever staged.  Here’s a couple of my favorite numbers but feel free to add others–and there are many more wonderful tunes here–in the comments.

“Kick up a rumpus,
But don’t lose the compass,
And get me to the church on time!”

I LOVE musical theater! My Fair Lady is right up there on my list of Phantom, Jekyll and Hyde and Les Mis, Wicked, I could go on, but won’t. You’re busy :) I’m a big fan, always look forward to your appearances on MSNBC because you “explain stuff” in a way I can understand and more importantly AGREE WITH! I love that you studied music and have a Masters in Social Wrk. I have a Masters in Counseling and worked at a college. How did you go from those interests to economics? I’m glad you did, so you can explain it to ME. Glad you got out and saw a great theater production. Now go fix our nation’s problems with that brain of yours. You and Howard Dean. :) Go on now…gooooo…you’ve had your break, it’s time to HELP US!!! THEN you can go see another show.
