Just read that article and it was what prompted me to subscribe to your blog. I expect I have read other stuff by you on Rolling Stone before (I am a fan of Matt and follow his blog), but just caught the tag end of your article and noticed you were not going to be contributing there any more. I appreciate your writing, I just wish it were possible to put control of our nation into the hands of people like you instead of the mess we have today.

Mr. Stiglitz has an item in today’s FT which I assume is book related. The point that I thought might be most persuasive to those (unlike myself) who still need persuading that inequality is deleterious is the distinction between businesses which create value in the economy and “rent-seekers” (al a a certain GOP presidential nominee).
