Friday Musical Interlude

September 18th, 2015 at 5:32 pm

After a busy, eventful week, you’re going to want to chill to this great Muddy Waters jam, All Aboard, featuring both a regular blues harp play and a “chromonica” which is a harmonica after inflation, or something. Anyway, you don’t hear a lot of blues tunes with that combination, and it works great here.

If this doesn’t get your foot tappin’ if not your booty shakin’ go to the ER right away and tell somebody swiped your mojo.

Bill Miller turned me on to your blog a while ago. Keep up the good work. Regarding your Musical Interlude, I thought you might get a kick out of this. Back in the 80’s when I was a concert promoter in Chicago, Larry Adler returned to the US for the first time after being blacklisted in the 50’s. Larry was unarguably the greatest chromatic player ever. He performed solo at a restaurant on Belmont (I forget the name) for a month and he and I became great friends (despite our political differences). He actually played ‘Flight of the Bumblebee’ … solo. Anyway, here’s a url for him performing ‘Roumanian Rhapsody’ to give you an idea of his talent.
