I Did Not Watch…

August 12th, 2011 at 12:18 am

…the Republican debate tonight, but I did just click over to the NYTs blow-by-blow where I saw this:

“Asked whether he would have vetoed the debt ceiling deal, Mitt Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts, answered, “I’m not going to eat Barack Obama’s dog food.”

It’s not clear exactly what he was talking about.”

No…it’s not clear at all.

I’m going to assume that Romney meant he wasn’t going to answer a question that made him deal with crappy things that Obama has to deal with. He, as not President, gets to attack and pander and then not have to answer to the hard decisions.

What is clear is, that he is desperately trying to outdo the crazy. Needs more practice, my friend.

A startling fact was revealed during the GOP debate last night. Not one of the candidates have ever even so much as read the front cover of an economics text book. In spite of this, each candidate declared him or her self fully capable of leading the nation’s economy to greatness pretty much with a flick of the wrist. A tax cut here, a deregulation there, and prosperity shall abound.

And yet, these are the kind of guys Obama seems to want to please.

What he meant is he would like to tie Obama to the roof his car and go for a drive.

Interesting quote from a man who tied his family dog to the roof of the car for a trip.
