    Thank you for making the case for stricter immigration laws (or just enforcing the ones we have now).

    You can’t have tight labor markets (particularly at the unskilled end) if you have open borders and high immigration DESIGNED TO PREVENT LABOR SHORTAGES. However, tight labor markets to attract immigrants. So the only way one can have tight labor markets is to have restrictive immigration policies and enforcement.
