In mid-Mexico, writing comments for a talk on globalization later when I gaze out my window and see this:
There’s Burger King, Pizza Hut, and KFC is just out of range. I’m not sure what the “Wall St. Institute” is but maybe they supply the bubbles to the Mexican soft drink industry.
So there’s some globalization for you.
Wall Street Institute is a English-as-a-second-language school for adults (specially professionals hence the name)
Ahh–very much in the spirit of globalization!
Very sad to see. Kinda like going to McDonalds when in Paris.
By the bye — it CAN’T be Mexico DF (City) as the distant hills are visable.
(Don’t trust air you can’t see!)
Which means these companies don’t need the US middle class near as much as they used to. And the very rich also make their money globally, and thus care less about how the US middle class fares. Thus the role for government to make sure that income gets distributed fairly is needed now more than ever.
Taco Bell wourld annoy me more.
I also see a “Berlitz” sign, another global brand.
